Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.
