British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
